OUR CHARITY OF THE YEAR 2012 - THE PRINCE'S TRUST

Each year we adopt a charity donating money from the sale of medals and company fundraising projects, and in recent years have supported the Panathlon Challenge, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research and the British Heart Foundation.

We are proud to announce that in this the Queen's Diamond Jubilee year, our official Charity of the Year for 2012 is The Prince's Trust.

The Prince's Trust was founded in 1976 by HRH The Prince of Wales. Having completed his duty in the Royal Navy, His Royal Highness became dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged young people in the UK, and began The Prince's Trust to deliver on that commitment.

Around one in five young people in the UK are not in work, education or training with Youth unemployment costing the UK economy a staggering £10 million a day in lost productivity, with youth crime £1 billion ever year.

The Prince's Trust address this by working with 14 to 30-year-olds who have struggled at school, have been in care, are long-term unemployed or have been in trouble with the law.

The Trust has become the UK's leading youth charity giving practical and financial support to the young people who need it most, helping develop key skills, confidence and motivation, enabling them to move into work, education or training.

They have helped more than 600,000 young people since 1976 and support 100 more each working day with more than three in four they helped last year move into work, education or training.
