This summer will mark 60 years since the coronation of Her Majesty the Queen. Although she celebrated her Diamond Jubilee last year, Her Majesty's Coronation took place at Westminster Abbey on 2nd June 1953, nearly eighteen months after she succeeded her father, King George VI.

To commemorate this historic event, we have specially designed this new souvenir mug, featuring photographs of Queen Elizabeth II from both today and from her Coronation. The wording on the mug reads:

To Commemorate
The Coronation of
HM Queen Elizabeth II

Families, friends, and special guests of Running Imp gathered today at Jubilee House to celebrate the official opening by Olympic Silver Medallist Steve Cram MBE.

Over 100 people gathered at Running Imp's headquarters to welcome the 'Jarrow Arrow' onto the premises, with a speech given by Co-Founder and Chief Executive Chris Illsley introducing the famous athletics commentator, who then proceeded to give a speech of his own before unveiling the specially made plaque.

Running Imp is proud to be able to announce that the Official Opening of its new headquarters Jubilee House will take place on Tuesday 14th May.

There to unveil a plaque in honour of the Official Opening will be legendary athlete, Olympic Silver Medallist and the BBC's 'Voice of Running' Steve Cram MBE.

During an illustrious athletic career, Cram was a World, Olympic, European and Commonwealth Medallist as well as a 3-time World Record holder. He still holds the British record for the mile, 1500m and 2000m and was known as one of the most exciting middle distance runners to watch.

Cram was a key part of a golden generation for British middle distance running, as he, Sebastian Coe and Steve Ovett dominated Championships all over the world in the 1980's. Today he is the Chief Athletics' commentator for the BBC and has co-presented the last 3 Summer Olympic Games as well as the Winter Olympics in 2002 and 2010.

The Official Opening will not only mark the completion of an ambitious building renovation project, which completely changed the face of the existing premises on Whisby Way, but will also be a celebration of the firm's 25th Anniversary.

"We are absolutely delighted that Steve Cram MBE will be opening our new HQ" said Running Imp Co-Founder & Chief Executive Chris Illsley. "Since 1988 we have grown to become the UK's largest supplier of running event supplies, and it fills me with great pride that a man so synonymous with running will be here to mark this new chapter in our history."

Last month the company was presented with the 2013 Lincoln Civic Award, in recognition of its excellent achievements and for continuing to be involved with the City's community through promotional support of local charity events. The 19" obelisk award will be on display for all to view at the Official Opening Day.

Founders and Chief Executives Caroline Birkin and Chris Illsley invited a selection of members of staff and guests of Running Imp to join them at Washinborough Hall for a celebratory dinner to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the company and for recently receiving the Lincoln Civic Award.

The attendees shared many stories and memories of times gone by, with many laughs and many tears as everybody reflected on the past 25 years of the company, and looked forward to the next 25 years working together as a fantastic team.
